Around 2007 I saw fake Goyards pop up on the fakes tables on the streets of NYC. I never got close enough to handle one but they were everywhere for a while. There was even an article in the NY Times I believe about how affluent women were carrying the fake ones just because of the price and they couldn't tell the difference anyway.Jun 14, 2011. #12. Putting plastic over the handles is something that the best of counterfeits can do as well. How the prints feel by touch and look by sight should be the focus.
